Lotus Train: Da Nang → Ha Noi
The full northbound run, Da Nang to Ha Noi, and the longest ticket Lotus sells. It leaves in the evening, so unlike the southbound service the Hai Van coast passes in the dark — this one is about covering the distance while you sleep rather than about the view. Pick-up from Hoi An to Da Nang station takes about forty-five minutes, so an afternoon in the Ancient Town still works. You come into Ha Noi before midday with the afternoon usable. Cabins are private two-berth and four-berth rooms with real beds, bedding, air conditioning, a socket at every berth and a lockable door. On a night this long, a cabin to yourselves is the difference between arriving rested and arriving wrecked.
